Mon, July 11: Animal park Goldau
We take plenty of time in the Goldau Zoo to observe the more than 100 species of wild animals such as wolves and bears. In the free-range zone we can spoil the sika deer and mouflon with food cubes and caresses, and we marvel at the climbing skills of the ibex. A delicious lunch awaits us in the cosy Gans restaurant, so that we have enough energy to let off steam on the playgrounds afterwards.
Tue, July 12: Glasi Hergiswil
In the Glasi Hergiswil we visit the museum “shaped by fire” and learn about the history of glass during a unique sound and light show. We get to watch the glassblowers at work as they shape, blow and cast glasses from the glowing mass. Glass is melted for us in a special small furnace so that we can blow our own glass ball. The glass labyrinth will also enchant us and the outdoor glass and water games will give us a welcome cooling down.
Wed, July 13: City Boulder & Mini golf
In the morning we travel to Kriens and try our hand at the colourful walls in the bouldering hall City Boulder. Each child can climb easy to more difficult routes up the walls according to their abilities and without a rope, landing again and again on the thick soft mats. After lunch, it’s off to Lake Lucerne for a game of mini-golf.
Thu, July 14: Aeschbach Chocolatier & Planetarium
Today we can immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of chocolate. During an interactive tour and a boat trip at the Aeschbach Chocolatier, we will learn all about the history of chocolate and the transport routes of cocoa. Afterwards we can create our own chocolate artwork with nuts, fruits, salty or spicy…mmhh! After lunch we go to the Museum of Transport for a visit to the Planetarium.
Fri, July 15: Glacier garden & Adventure playground
Today we explore the Lucerne Glacier Garden with its 20 million year old history. During a guided tour with an expert, we learn interesting facts about the Ice Age in the Alps and about the Lion Monument. Afterwards we discover the new underground rock world, where we come to daylight at the end of the rock passage and are rewarded with a fantastic view of the Alps. In the confusing and funny mirror labyrinth we experience exciting pictures, and in the afternoon we go to a great adventure playground including ice cream to cool down!
