Program October 18 – 22, 2021

There is always something new to discover at Zurich Zoo! We visit the Masoala Rainforest, the elephant park with its cute baby elephant, the indoor penguin enclosure in the aquarium with its 8 underwater worlds and the Lori aviary with its parrots up to thirty centimetres in size. In the Australia enclosure, we will spend plenty of time observing the koalas, kangaroos and giant monitor lizards, as well as the giraffes and rhinos in the Lewa Savannah. There are also lots of great playgrounds to explore!

In the Maestrani Chocolate World, we will take a tour of the Chocolarium to find out how happiness gets into chocolate. The 100-metre-long chocolate machine will amaze us, and we’re sure to have real feelings of happiness during the tasting of chocolate! Finally, we will pour and decorate our own chocolate bar with our favourite ingredients. In the afternoon, weather permitting, we will go to an adventure playground or to the National Museum in Zurich for the family exhibition “Through History on a Flying Carpet”.

In the morning, we immerse ourselves in the world of football and playfully explore the museum. Not only do we marvel at the valuable trophies and jerseys, but we can also test our skills ourselves: in the walk-in pinball machine and on the virtual pitch. We spend the afternoon in the Kulturama, where we discover the anatomy and function of the human being through touch, hearing, smelling and riddles on an adventure trail. We are allowed to open all the drawers and touch everything. How does the heart pump, how do the joints work and why can our eyes deceive us?

It’s action time today! We can really let off steam at the Rolling Rock Skate & Sport Centre’s large indoor and outdoor skate facility. We’ll rent a skateboard, freestyle scooter, rollerblades or a BMX and try our hand at the various courses. No previous experience is necessary, everyone can choose their own rides on the facility. Bouldering, trampolines, table tennis or floorball are also waiting for us…..Pure action!

In the exhibition “Crazy World of Dinosaur” we learn interesting things about the life of these giants and why they became extinct so quickly. During the free tour, many playful activities await us, as well as an exciting film about the researchers’ new findings. We spend the afternoon outside at the Jucker Farm with its unique pumpkin exhibition, straw paradise and playgrounds. And if you feel like it, you can creatively carve your own pumpkin.
